Super C Motor Coach Construction Process
Each build is fully custom from the floorplan to the interior design. We start with a 100% aluminum frame that’s engineered to last a lifetime. Then our team builds and fabricates virtually all the construction components in-house with our trademark eagle eye for detail and quality. All coaches come with a full-coverage, 3-year warranty and can be built on a new or used chassis.

Frame
You won’t find another frame in the industry as carefully crafted as ours. We’ve thoughtfully designed each piece of our frame to offer the best performance and longevity. Our coaches feature fully-welded aluminum construction throughout with a minimum .125 wall thickness on all extrusions. Plus, the whole frame is built on a vibration dampener for a smooth ride.
Floor
Unique to the industry, our coaches are built on a solid foundation. Each coach has a floor construction with 3” x 5” riser tubes that sit on a vibration dampener and is u-bolted with steel bolts to the chassis main frame for the strongest foundation available. Under your floor is a center mechanical trough built with .080 aluminum that can be accessed through the mechanical access panels in the storage bays.
Slideouts • HWH Brand Slides • Valid Electric Slides
Slideouts - With a smooth exterior for a superior look, the flush slideouts reduce wind noise and are also more watertight. They feature a full aluminum frame and can be custom sized for your floorplan up to 22 feet in length. Choose between two slide mechanisms: gasketed hydraulic slides from HWH or the premium electric slides with air seal from Valid.
HWH Brand Slides - The HWH brand slides are our hydraulic option for the slideout mechanism. They offer double gaskets for a superior seal and are flush to the exterior of the coach when retracted. Customizable to size for your coach.
Valid Electric Slides with Air Seal - Less bulky than hydraulics, this system won’t leak oil and has an aluminum frame for lasting quality. It also features low-friction precision for the most stable and reliable room extension in the industry while the air seal gasket provides the best seal available. 1492 Coachworks is proud to be the exclusive installer of Valid Mfg. slides for the Super C coach market.
Roof & Sidewalls
Lightweight and strong, our coach roofs feature full walk-on roof decking and are nearly as sturdy as the floor. With a heavy duty 5” truss system, each roof is fabricated from .040 thickness, one-piece aluminum roof sheet with a seal coat. Helping you keep your coach look neat and streak free, our Clean Line Roof System with water control helps direct water off the coach and prevent streaking.
With a smooth finish and unparalleled durability, each coach’s sidewalls are built with .080 aluminum sheeting and feature a ceramic thermal insulation coating with 3” fiberglass insulation. A 5” double hollow header is used on the lower main frame rail and all window and door openings as well.
Plumbing & Electrical
All coaches are outfitted with high quality plumbing and electrical systems. Our PEX plumbing systems use high quality brass fittings. The fresh and waste water tanks are heavy gauge poly with spun weld fittings. Plus, a plumbing manifold system helps to maintain fittings (a common wear point) and gives you the flexibility to shut off each fixture individually if needed for maintenance.
The electrical system is set up for durability and ease of use. We use stranded marine electrical cabling throughout to prevent wire breakage. You’ll also find heat shrink electrical terminals and built-in mechanical raceways to allow for future modifications and ease of service.
Cabinets & Carpentry
You’ll notice the craftsmanship in our cabinetry. All of the cabinets and carpentry on our coaches are made from hardwood and veneer plywood with glued and screwed cabinet construction. Our cabinets feature dovetail drawer boxes with soft close mechanisms on drawers, doors, and pocket doors. All cabinetry is finished with a varnish to help improve the durability and give a sleek appearance. Top off your cabinets with your choice of solid surface countertops and accents.
Sewing & Furniture
At the end of the day, relax on your custom-built furniture pieces. All our furniture is fully fabricated, sewn and assembled in house. We use only the best materials and techniques to create comfortable, durable pieces like high quality foam packs for your seats and double stitched upholstery to prevent wear and tear. You can even add an extra touch with custom stitching options!
